Ramon van Bentum is a Germany-based fashion & commercial photographer. As the son of a German mother and a father from Curaçao, he was raised near the German-Dutch border, and started assisting photographers around Düsseldorf at the age of 20. He studied Photography & Media at Hochschule Bielefeld and graduated in the summer of 2025. For his graduation project, he lived and worked on Curaçao for several months.

He is deeply inspired by the places he visits and by observing everyday life. The colourful architecture and landscapes of his Curaçaoan roots have become a strong influence on his visual language. Working across both digital and analogue processes is his way of creating a diverse aesthetic. Experimenting across these different media leads him to new visual approaches and aesthetics.

Since 2026, Ramon has been represented by the German agency BoschToBanrap, where he continues to develop his creative vision across editorial and commercial projects.

Ramon’s home base is Bielefeld, Germany, and he works primarily between Düsseldorf and Berlin. During the South African summer, he is mostly based in Cape Town, where he works on photographic projects for clients and develops his personal portfolio.
